Pattie Kelly . . . . . . .Producer
Originally from New Mexico, Pattie Kelly has always been involved in the arts, equally comfortable behind the scenes as well as an accomplished musician and performer. After graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Film and Television Production and a Minor in Music and Theatre from West Texas A&M, Ms. Kelly toured the United States and a good part of the world as a lead singer/guitar player for several rock bands.
Eventually, she was transplanted to Los Angeles where she worked as a session singer and a producer, producing records and music videos for several artists. She also began working in television production, first as a script supervisor, a production coordinator, production manager, coordinating producer and eventually as a producer for many commercials and industrials.
After extensive development and readings, Ms. Kelly produced the critically acclaimed world premiere at the Odyssey Theatre in Los Angeles of "The Abbey Yard" , a period drama set in early twentieth century Ireland. She also co-wrote, co-produced and performed on the play's original soundtrack. This production of "The Abbey Yard" was the first pairing of Scarpaci and Kelly as a producing and directing team and would ultimately become the catalyst that launched their enduring partnership and Scarpaci/Kelly Productions.
With Scarpaci, she created and developed the whimsical world of the Beyond the Page Café, a children's space that was the basis for the award winning Disney children's series "Beyond the Page". Each episode featured a children's book brought to life through animation and live action. In addition to producing the series, Ms. Kelly also wrote the first three episodes of "Beyond the Page". As a producing/directing team, Kelly and Scarpaci have just completed their second episode for a new Disney children's series entitled "Safety Smart Science" with Bill Nye the Science Guy.
The award winning independent film, "Welcome to September" was her first feature length film as a producer. Originally a play, Ms. Kelly worked closely with Phil Scarpaci and the writer, Colin Mitchell, developing the piece into a screenplay. "Welcome to September" is currently distributed worldwide by York Entertainment.
Ms. Kelly is the CEO of Scarpaci/Kelly Productions.
